Default Fanuc 18-m Parameter Write Protect, Enable & Disableing Issues

We have a Fanuc 18-m control on a 1700 Dah-Lee VMC with a 32 ATC. We would like to get the pocket table reset to it's corresponding #'s but we keep getting a Write Protect error coming up. If I am correct the pocket table is located under [PMC]-[PMCPRM]-[DATA] and it is this that I would like to reorganize and shut the write protect off.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    James

It is the offset button. You press the offset button until you see the screen that has the parameter write enable. I believe that you have to be in MDI Estop when you change it.

    JML,

First, like Stevo said, you need change the PWE to 1. Secondo, your way is correct but you forget that you need press G-DATA to acess the table.

I have no problems getting to the table but it will not accept a # change. My mode is set to MDI, the E-Stop is on with parameter write enabled and I key [SYSTEM]-[PMC]-[PMCPRM]-[DATA]. I also have no G-DATA option just a G-SEARCH and SEARCH.
Across the top of the screen I have

PMC PRM (DATA) 001/001 BCD MONIT RUN

    NO. ADDRESS DATA
    0000 D0000 5
    0001 D0001 24

That's an example of where I'm stuck at if it helps.

    Thanks again

I'm not positive but one of the KEYS may be off in the ladder. You may need to search it to find out how to turn it on. These keys disable edits if they are off and my be preventing the table change you are trying. Is there a memory protect switch on your equipment ?

I know there are keeprelays that will protect the PMC/Ladder etc. I am not sure it that is what your problem is because I have no problems changing any of my PMC data in my 18's and 15 controls doing the sequence as you described above. However I can do not ladder edits until I have keeprelay 17.7 or 17.0 activated. I believe that this is will depend on the type of PMC. I think for the SA1 type that it is 17.7 or 17.0 and the SB7 type is K900.0. (19.7 to protect PMC parameters.)
    Hope this helps.

There is no mem. protect switch that I can find or know of.

Stevo, I hate to say it but as far as ladders go I'm lost. I'm still kind of new to Fanuc after 15 years of Fidia and Heidenhain controls.

KEY 1 G46.3 controls tool comp data work offsets
KEY 2 G46.4 controls setting data macro variables and tool life management data
KEY 3 G46.5 controls program loading and editing
KEY 4 G45.6 enables PMC data

if you can find the PMC data table look and see if these are a 1 or a 0

    0 disabled
    1 enabled

    I found

    PCM SIGNAL STATUS

    Address 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0

    DRN Key4 Key3 Key2 Key1 SBK
    G0046 0 1 1 1 1 0 0 0

Does any of this make sence?

Since they are all 1's this is not causing the write protect problem.

Another thing to check ... go to the SYSTEM --> PMC --> PMCPRM --> SETTING page and check the status of items there
Other things I suggest is try in different mode EDIT for example instead of MDI
