    Harvey,

    I have a 05 SL20, recently it gave a 175 "ground fault detected" alarm.
After resetting the alarm, the tail stock refuses to advance. Will not respond when programmed, nor when attempting to manually advance. Also now at the start up, the X axis will reference as usual, but we have a delay of a 60 to 120 seconds before the Z axis will reference out. Have noted that the B axis does move when the reference command is invoked, but still it will not function.
All other movement is fine, and the machine preforms accurately despite these symptoms. It has been speculated that an I/O issue may be the cause. Would you have any input on this situation?

    Thanks in Advance,
    P.G.

Default Need help on a HAAS SL 30

    HARVEY,

I hope that you may know this one. I have a 1999 HAAS SL30. Occasionaly, I will be writing or editing a program and the control will alarm out and at the bottom of my program before my M30 a code "K#-965" will be automatically added. THe alarm says unrecognized code. Save all files to disc brcause a corruption may happened and delete files in memory and reload. This is a royal pain. It hen puts an exclamation point next to that program and you cannot delete or edit it. Also i know how to download all programs at once to the floppy, but how do you upload all at once? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Regards,
    Greg

    Dear Harvey,
I have a HAAS VF2YT. The machine has started stopping on paarticular blocks of my NC files. No alarms are given and the condition is similar to the one when u hold the feed. the spindle keeps on rotating. On the Graph on M/c controller when i simulate the program it runs fine but in actual running it gets stalled
    Please help

    Yeah, I do Harvey.

I just posted this thread under "Machine Repair."

"My partner and I have a 1996 Haas HL-4. The turret indexed into the jaw. He used the turret coupling adjustment proceedure to reset the turret but when zero returned the turret doesn't go to tool #1. It randomly goes to tool 8 or 5. Any ideas???
    Thanks, Chel. "

    Any thoughts for us?
    Thanks,
    Chel

    Hello.
I have a HL-1 model 1995, worked fine but now it alarms at start up with turret unlock fault. It moves X and Z fine and unlocks the turret by pushing it outward, but when it returns it gives me the alarm.
I checked the 3 sensors continuity and they are working fine.
I pushed the PSI all the way up.

Now.. I am just staring at it.....thinking!

    I welcome any suggestions/help.

    Thanks,
    Reynaldo

    Hello,

I am trying to figure out the program code to use to keep the tool changer open on a Haas TM1 to clean it out. I can't find anything in the manual to do this.

    Thanks,

    Amy
