Default Fanuc om timer value binary to decimal

    Friends,

We have one VMC with FANUC OM Controller.

The timer value in DGN 350 in Binary is 00101000.

Pl help me as how to convert it in to Decimal.

Is the Binary value in only the DGN350 has to be converted into Decimal for tha actual timer value
    or
the DGN351,DGN352,DGN353,DGN354 also to be taken in to account.

Does the various timers like DGN300,DGN310,DGN315 have any definite max values.

If we change the parameter19 bit 7 to 1 the values in the DGN screen for the timer/counter will change from binary to decimal.

But of little curiosity I am seeking your help.

    Thanks,

    chandru

    CHANDRU,

I am slightly confused by your question. You have asked how to convert the value in DNG350 from binary to decimal, but you also note (correctly) that chaning parameter 19 bit 7 will cause the value in the display to be converted from binary to decimal.

I do not know off hand if the values for 351 through 354 are additive to that in 350. It may be a function of how the machine builder has incorporated them into the logic. There are certainly maximum values which can be set for all of the timers. Some timers have 48 ms resolution while others have 8 ms. The range for timers with 48 ms is to 1,572.8 sec. The range for timers with 8 ms to 262.1 sec. You will need to refer to the 0M documentation to determine which is the case for the timer in reference.

    DEAR PSEVIN,

    THANKS

BELOW IS MY OBSERVATION IN A MACHINE WITH OM CONTROLLER.

THE VALUES ARE TAKEN AFTER CHANGING THE BIT 7 IN PARAMETER 19 TO 0-1-0

TIMER - DECIMAL VALUE - BINARY DISPLAY
    DGN 300 -1200000 - 11000000
    DGN 305 - 300000 - 01110000
    DGN 310 - 5000 - 01100100
    DGN 315 - 500 - 00001010
    DGN 320 - 150 - 00000011
    DGN 325 - 250 - 00000101
    DGN 330 - 150 - 00000011

WHEN I MULTIPLY THE BINARY VALUES WITH A CONSTANT OF 50 SAY FOR EXAMPLE DGN315 IS 10x50 =500

FROM DGN 310 ONWARDS IF WE MULTIPLY THE BINARY VALUE WITH A CONSTANT OF 50 WE ARE GETING THE DISPLAYED DECIMAL VALUE.

BUT NOT SO IN THE CASE OF DGN 300 AND DGN 305.

    PL HELP ME.

    THANKS,

    CHANDRU
