Here is a procedure to initailize the control and parameter reloading that I used one time. I am not familiar with the alarms you are having or if this will take care of it. SO use with extreme caution. Might be worth a call to mitsubishi first if you have not done so. Good luck.

    1) Save a backup of all data
    a) Tool data
    b) Programs
    c) Parameters
    d) ALL1 #(99)DATA(ALL1)
    e) ALL2 #(99)DATA(ALL2)
*Note: To output ALL1 and ALL2 must turn off PLC

    2) Reinitialize Control
    a) Switch dip switches 1 and 3 to the right on CPU (MC111, MC116 or MC161)
    b) If control has secondary CPU (MC121, MC126 or MC127) then switch dip switches 7 and 8
on secondary CPU along with 1 and 3 on main CPU.
    c) Turn on control and leave on for 30 seconds, the 2 green LED’s will blink.
    d) Power off control and put switch settings back to their original position and power up.
    e) Load parameters into control and then cycle powER

    3) Format the control
    a) Go to PLC/IF screen and enter (1001)( )(M).
    b) Go to Machine Parameters and find “fix_p”
    c) Set “fix_p” to a 1
    d) Go to the Erase page under the Data I/O screen
    f) Type in #( ) DATA ( FORMAT ) and hit input. It will say ERASE COMPLETE
    g) Go to INPUT page and type in #(4)DATA( ) and hit input. It will say DATA IN
    COMPLETE
    h) Cycle power

    4) Load data back into control
    a) Parameters
    b) ALL1 #(99)DATA( )
    c) ALL2 #(99)DATA( )
    d) Tool Data
    e) Programs

Unhappy Re: Help to inital meldas 300 series

    Petro, help

We are looking to backup our mits v65c meldas 300 series vmc.

I read that you have to turn off PLC to output (99 all1, 99 all2), how is this done, do you have a procedure.

    Real Story;

Have a dead mits that had a backup battery went dead lost everything. Trying to take machine data from sister machine and bring back to life.

    Thanks for the help.
