    Default boring using g code

    hello all.. any kind soul can help me, , is a fine boring cycle g76 same if I program it manually without using the cycle?

    example : G1 Z-10 F30
    M19
    X1
    Z10

    Yes. In operation the G76 cycle performs in a similar manner to that of your listed code. However, for safety sake, it would probably be better if the X move was programed in Incremental Mode as follows:

    G90 G01 Z-10.0 F30
    M19
    G91 X1.0
    G90 Z10.0

    G0 X0.1;(THIS DIRECTION SHOULD BE MOVE BORING TOOL INSERT DIRECTION)

    The action of G88, and other canned cycles, is contingent on the control. Many controls don't have I and J arguments for G88, as in your example, and in some controls G88 is used to perform a manual operation when the spindle stops at the completion of the Z move, and after a Dwell if included.

    i have tapped with a tapping head in a boring cycle so just about anything could be done in a cnc if you think hard enough

    In this cycle bore a hole precisely. When tool is reach at bottom of hole , the spindle is stop and tool is shift from machining position and retract .Tool offset in canned cycle mode is ignored.
    Here we have the Spambot promoting his web site, still getting it wrong again. G74, specified in your program is Left/Hand Tapping, not a Boring Cycle. First rule of CNC Programming; check your code. Posing it here without checking it, is tantamount to loading the program in the machine, pressing the Cycle Start and hope that it works.

    With regards to the Q address for the shift amount, this is control specific; oh. you didn't know that.
