Not sure exactly on this alarm code. However if I remember properly the 8 on this motherboard is normal for either when the control is booted up or at some part in the boot process. Check the power supplies have power to start with. Also does the CRT screen come on at all?

    " 7 Segment LED Display Error Codes on Series 10, 11 and 12 "

#8 - On first power up. Problem caused by clock, custom LSI, CPU, BAC, or master PCB

    • Replace the appropriate board (master PCB)

    Hello,

Sorry to hear that, please send me an email address into a private message here in the forum, so that I can email you a 3-page pdf file with the Fanuc 10 masterboard alarms. Also, the board that you just bought, was it listed as ' removed from a working machine' ?. And finally, can you describe what happens at your machine's screen when when you power it up? Any words or numbers?

    risek,
    What happened before this occurred?
Were you running the day before?
Was the machine down for a long period of time?
Did it shut off in the middle of a program and then you rebooted and this occured. This may help determine what the initial cause is or problem.
Also when you turn only the main breaker on and do not hit the main control what number is displayed on the motherboard?
After you hit power on do you here or see the display change on the motherboard? Also do you here any contactors kick in then shut off?

machine was working normally and at one point with a stop, and it was not finished until the end of the treatment.
Images on the monitor froze and no keys on the keyboard did not work.
When we turn off the machine at the main switch, we tried it
relight but it did not work.
when you raise the main switch on the front panel LED Motherboard
there is no number, only when you press the power on the front of the machine the green button on the motherboard comes No. 8 and goes no further.
Normal should get to number 1
    thanks

    Hello,

What ever happened with this problem that you had? Is it ok now or is it still down?

I sent you a private message telling you that the email address that you provided me with was wrong, you need to send me a valid address or answer your private messages, Fanuc information or special procedures can not be made public here, that is why you need to correct your address.

I know several different types of Fanuc 10T, the one with the fiber optics and the one without them, what model do you have? Do you have a color or monochromatic screen? Does your machine have the 10T with the FAPT option installed?

Sounds kind of strange that you have swapped the master board with the exact same results, do you have a complete backup of all parameters, timers, counters, keep relays, etc? Did you install all that?

A frozen screen @ starup could also point into a bad MDI pcb, the one next to the keyboard pcb.

Please tell us some answers here, even if you got it running already.
