    Default Alarms 280, 501, -10c

    Hi im Paul
I have a HT20SII Yasnac LS3 control with Yaskawa boards, the machine after working for about 3 hrs., came to a stop ready for a part change and gave alarms 280, 501, -10c, my questions are how do you check the Tyristers ( the black square units in back of the 2nd board) if everything else check, OK, are these the resister modules? do you have to take them out to check them?
    Thanks

I had a 280 alarm(machine unready) with a Yasnac LX-3 control on a KIA15. The original board spindle drive unit was replaced with a Frenic 5000 G11. Was having alarms sometimes and than it would be ok. Recently it would have a 280 alarm every hour or so. I checked some setting on the spindle drive and made some changes to the breaking resistors and other settings for the braking. It stopped the problem. It may also indicate that the resistors are going out. If it happens again I will check those

    Thanks for the info,
I unhocked the spindle motor wires, checked the motor for shorts, none found, turned on power without motor wires hooked up, still get alarm 280, 501, and (-10C over current) Do the power resistor modules get checked in a unhooked state?
    Thanks, Paul

I checked the transister modules FUJI #2DI200-050 and one of them from C2E1 to E2 checks closed both directions of +/- , the other two modules only go +/- one direction as indicated by the drawing on the side. I think this one is bad. I ordered one to find out. I'll check back if this works.
