Unhappy need help on mori seiki sl6

machine starts ok and stay going for about 10 seconds then alarms error 35 over current (or over heating)

checken and on x servo on last 2 conection on right R1 and R2 measured and have 270 vdc going to a resistor 50ohms @ 175 w, that overheats and
trips a temp sensor that sends the alarm , after it cools down it will power up again and goes to same cycle.

    my question is:
are the 270 vdc at R1 and R2 , should be less then that?
should this voltage be there all the time? or just at a specific moment.

during that period of time before it goes to alarm, X and Z both move ok.

    power supply has the correct voltages +5 +12 +24 +15 and -15

the same voltage (270 vdc) apears at R1 and R2 on both servos , but i can only see the resistor for "X" overheating, the "Z" resistors are located in metal box that i can not see.

I suspect you have a faulty regen circuit in your X drive. The resistor should only get significant current flow when the motor is dumping voltage higher than the bus voltage. If you are heating up while sitting still, the regen transistor is probably shorted and conducting all the time.
