    Default Programing issue

    Hello all,

    I would like to ask if exist any simple program to check coordinates of my cnc code, especially for tool radius correction (G41, G42). I working in sinumerik 840D. Sometimes , when I test a new program, the machine doesn´t finish block with failure notice: the end position of radius is incorrect.

    Please check code:
    G95 G01 X=+9 Y=-297
    X=-20 Y=-317
    X=-20 Y=-237
    X=+9 Y=-245.43
    X=37.737 Y=-245.429
    G41 G01 X=65.779 Y=-194.033
    G02 X=77.175 Y=-204.693 I=-28.042 J=-51.396 - here machine stopped with failure message
    G03 X=65.779 Y=-194.033 I=-39.438 J=-40.736
    G02 X=53.778 Y=-177.503 I=+16.778 J=+24.838
    G03 X=35.6 Y=-151.249 I=-48.045 J=-13.846
    G40 G01 X=-20 Y=-181.35
    X=-20 Y=-116
    X=-47 Y=-81
    X=-97 Y=-81

    Please find attached sketch.
    If you find some mistake in my code, please let me know. I fight with that hole day.

    Thank you in advance.

    I just ran your program through a simulator I use. Your first IJ values appear to be way off or not signed correctly. No time to really do the math.
    Double check everything. After the first one everything appears to be ok.
    Good luck !

    The center of the arc must lie on the perpendicular bisector of the line joining the current point to the target point (start/end points of the arc).
    R-method is simpler to use.
