    Default Fanuc 18i 410 Servo Alarm

    Hello,
    I am a first time user of this Forum.
    I been repairing CNC's for about 20 years, But you never stop learning
    and its great to be involve in this Forum. I need help with this alarm.
    First of all machine type is Mori Seiki, SV400 and control is Fanuc 18i
    i am getting a 410 servo alarm (A Axis Excess Error).
    Only when i start moving the table.

    When you say moving the table. I assume you have an indexer on the machine which is the A- axis correct? If its an indexer the cables or indexer itself commonly gets coolant in the plugs or electrical portion. They corrode and wires can break off as well as the three phase can short to ground. Megohm the cables and motor out first from the main control cabinet. Make sure to disconnect from drive before doing to see if that may be the problem. If not proceed to inspect the indexer connections and wires.

    Thank you for your fast response. Have not been able to log in keep getting a sing in error.
