    Default 93 Puma 8HC alarm 7

We have an older 1993 Puma 8HC. Was working yesterday with the exception that hydralic press went low once. turned up pressure on pump and it seemed to work fine for the rest of the day. Today alarm 7 comes on and no hydralic pump (no power to it) checked breakers ect. that I could see. any ideas?

Every 3-phase motor in your machine receives voltage from a 3-phase contactor, look for the one that supplies voltage to your hydraulic pump. Below it there should be its corresponding overload relay, it must have tripped due to a greater-than-usual current demand at the motor.

You can just reset that overload relay and try again, but almost for sure what is causing this overload in your hyd system is that you have a clogged filter, increasing the pump's pressure worked for a while, but you need to change your filter.

Some suction filters are located inside the oil tank and can be removed and washed out if it is the type that is all made of perforated metal sheet. After you clean/change the filter, remember to set the pump's pressure accordingly.
