When i had this problem it was one of two things,

    1. There is a little chip that piggybacks onto the back of the screen. This has a little cable that comes off it. This played up on ours and I mounted a spring to push on the back of it to add a little pressure. Bit of a bodge but worked on ours.

    2. We had a problem where the screen kept doing it and would then not boot up. If you get this soon check the voltage at any position on the back of the screen. It should be around 5V, it should be between 4.9-5.1. If its lower than this then you may need the pot on the power unit turned up.

    Hope this helps.
