    Default CAD/CAM Suggestion

We have a small machine shop in canada and we are doing a lot of customs and small run parts. We specialize in gear making of all kinds and we have a lot of old machines.

We recently purchased a 5 Axis Mill, Matsura, that we intend to do gear profiling on but we aren't quite sure of what program of CAD/CAM Software to buy that could do gears. Bear in mind we want to expand our business in Helical Bevel gears and probably impellers. We have knowledge with MasterCam but is there something better?

    Thanks.

Years ago I used Smart Cam And that was a very easy program to use. Lock, stock and barrel. They are up to ver.16.5. I think it is worth checking out. here is the web site. SmartCAMcnc - your exclusive source for SmartCAM.
