Jesus,
Welcome to the group.

I do not know much about your control. However what it sounds like to me is that you have either the OT switch or the OT parameters set inside the home position.

My main experience is with Fanuc and there are parameters to were you can set "soft" overtravels.

I don't want to mislead you because I don't know much about your control but I would maybe start with looking in your manual for these parameter numbers and check the value of them.

hi, Jesus...

I suggestion you for open the cover Of Z axis... see if the Z axis use V Belt may be
is out of used, or not tight...
if not we can use this way...shut down machine and turn it on again Zero return Z axis first
then if alarm out push the emergency stop then open the couple betwen motor and ballscrew...and turn the screw up until nearly limit switch and reconect it again...
shutdown all power and restart it again...

this way is only if you cannot find the user manual

I think this troule out when machine in work suddenly the electric power down
or couple betwen ballsrew and motor losses...

regards

Aban.

Jesus,
Are you speaking to MEEC? What parameter are you trying to change and why??

You said in your first post that your machine has a "sinumerik" control but now you say it has a Fanuc 3t control. So what control is on your machine????

Now knowing more information and that it is a Fanuc control it is probably the fact that your limits are set INSIDE of your home position.

When did this start to happen? all of a sudden or did something happen? There are many things that could be causing this but you need to give us more information.
