Default Tail Stocks

I'm relizing that my tail stocks wear quickly when u use on steel and stainless steel . Does any one know why ? I have haas lathe and am using royal tailstocks . Im not sure what pressures to use or what maybe there are special ways to use them any help would be great thank you .

I think 10bars pressure is enough and check the nut that fixed the tail stocks.

Dose the wear is in the cylinder of tail stock or on the machine bed that is under tail stocks?
Where is the wear exactly?

I think im missleading you . It's my centers that are wearing quickly ! very quickly . I use live centers also . I am un sure what pressure to set on the tailstock pressure gauge and if that is only reason for wear ?
