Default Manufacturing shortage?

I had posted this a while back and thought the problem would get better. Gun sales are still selling like crazy due to various reasons. All major gun manufactures are having major problems with getting parts from their suppliers. I know for a fact that the lower receiver below is made for 5 or 6 major well known gun manufacturers. There is about 4 to 5 I think that make this part. Well one of the major gun manufactures has had a major part on back order for 6 weeks. There is a rumor they may have to go oversees to get the production rate they need on gun parts. With all this talk about we need manufacturing jobs I am curious are the machines that take to builds these parts too expensive. They are even back ordering gun barrel's.

Default Re: Manufacturing shortage?

I saw a post on some other forum were they were offering $ 8.00 per lower receiver. The average retail price is around $ 125 so how they would except to only pay $8 amazes me. Supposedly Aero Engineering has 200 cnc machines running 24 hours to keep up with the demand. You would be amazed on how AR 15 rifles and parts are on 2 to 3 month backorder.
