I get this error when I start my machine. Everything powers up ok but the machine will not home. Without homing all axes cannot run machine. All the servo packs seem to be online. Yaskawa drives. Error: Initialization of communication line with axis server failed.

Can you move the axes by handwheel? Is there anything on the drives or on a plugin pendant for the drives? What control?

Thanx for the fast reply:) No I cannot move any of the axes in handwheel. its a windows control. Control is CNI. I run the exact same machine only it is an osai control. Alot easier to run manual controls on the osai.I have a screen shot if interested.how do you post it on here?Thanx again .

Sorry not familiar with that front end control, the error does not sound familiar to me as far as a Yasnac alarm goes. What type of Yaskaw servo packs are on the machine? I would call Yaskawa and ask them about it since it may be on the back end. Have your drive part numbers and see about getting a pendant for the drives if there is no diagnostic LEDs on them. The pendant is around $300 and usually can plug into them all. It may help you troubleshoot a little further and give you a tool that service people can use to help troubleshoot the machine if they do not bring one.

Can not post any pictures yet at this point sorry. I am in the process of converting forum over to another software. I believe I should have it switched over in the next week or so.

Thanks
