Default Kitamura H400 HMC Pallet changing problem.

I recently brought a Kitamura H400 HMC with 15M control. During installation of the machine we had a alarm "RAM Parity error".To clear the same the memory had to be formatted. After reloading of the parameters the machine started working properly expect the pallet changer. It seems the data related to pallet is wrong. Can some one help.

Did you have to reload the PMC parameters or just the NC parameters? Does your machine have a macro program that runs that pallet changing? What kind of alarm are you getting?

The data that sets this may be in your PMC parameters but it could also be a variable if you are using a macro.

We had to load all the PMC & NC parameters.Actually the pallet changer Arm is driven by a Fanuc servo motor.Three positions of the arm have to be defined.
1.Front, 2.Back 3.Safe /waiting position. This data has to be input in the data table addresses, but it is not working.
Similarly the manuals shows there is a proxomity switch for referencing the changer arm,but on the machine there is no such switch. It does not even look like some arrangement was made for the switch. It is using absolute pulse encoder.Because of this I do have a doubt whether the procedure given in the machine manuals & data table address locations given are for the absolute pulse encoder fitted machine.Pl help

If there are no switches for location of the tool change then it is either done via ladder, 2nd 3rd 4th reference positions or macro programs. Given you have ABS encoders it code be that when the home position was set it was not set it the proper position.

Do you have any programs in the 8000 or 9000 range that appear to have anything to do with pallet changing? Also look up the reference position parameters which should be starting at 1240-1243 at tell me what they are set to.

Sir,
We were able to reference the machine. But the data like pallet changing arm waiting position distance from reference point, forward position, backward position has to be set in data table.Example the front position is 165.5 mm from reference point,i.e 165500 microns(data table value has to be put in microns)but actually the table is not taking values more than 4 digits.
pl help

you need to refences point the pallet changer?
if you want to set the arm pallet position to the respective references point,

you try this option because i had experience 5 years operating kitamura hx400 model
enable the parameter write in enable, then change the parameter #1815 bit APZ set 0, after go back to the custom button then turn on the maintinance mode
u command unclamp the table, then press up the pallet changer
1)if the pallet one at inside of the machine-u set the position no.1 into -180000
note:u set into -180000 using manual the pallet changer.

then go back to the parameter #1815 u set back bit APZ to 0
after that disable the parameter write enable, then the machine alarm TURN off THE MACHINE....
2) if you set the the pallet position no.1 to -180000 the pallet position no.2 is 0
after off the mahine then you on again move first all axis to the home reference
point,.... u command m6o in MDI MODE
FOR SAFETY FOLLOW THE MANUAL

must better till me the actual problem details of the machine....
