Perhaps I should have mentioned this is a brand new machine. HAAS is sending someone out. I spoke with them on the phone and he was puzzled. When the turret rotates it goes POP as it locks down. The 106 code says something about adjusting turret lock switches and drive or something. I have very little faith in HAAS as it takes forever to get any kind of service after the sale. Was hopiin for some help here

I am guessing you also included an axis position as well with the G28 in a line like G28 X0 Y0 Z0. Which would send all axes home. Otherwise the loud pop might just mean that you have to reset turret zero position. So since its a new machine my guess is that is all it probably is. I am unfamiliar with how haas sets of there servo turret positioning. So someone else would have to help you in that aspect.

It turned out to be an initial set up problem. The HAAS guy who done the initial set up did not level the turret and then restart the machine. So they came out again and its good now. Thanks for your help Petro.
