I have a 2080 ATC interlock error on a Doosan 3016 mill that cannot be reset. The ATC arm is in the up position and clamped on both tools. The tool in the pot and the tool in the spindle. I cannot get the arm out of the way so the error can be reset. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks Dale |

As you refer to an ATC arm, I take it that this is a side mounted Magazine type Tool Changer. I'm not familiar with your machine specifically, however, the principle is similar across makes. The mechanism for this type of tool changer is either Motor Driven or via Hydraulic actuators. If Hydraulic, your will find valves associated with the various movements of the arm, for example, arm rotate, arm up/down etc. You will be able to step backwards through the Tool Change sequence until back to the start by manually actuating the appropriate hydraulic valve for each movement. If Motor driven, remove the end cap covering the motor fan and rotate by hand with the control powered down. You can step backwards or forwards through the Tool Change sequence until back to the start, or until the Tool Change is completed, depending on the direction you rotate the fan and therefore, the motor armature. There will normally be a motor brake involved that will need to be released and reapplied when finished. Regards, Bill Last edited by angelw; 02-09-12 at 09:33 AM. |

Dale, Do you know what the solution was?? It may help others that come across this thread on a search and I am also sure that Bill is a bit curious to know as well. Stevo (The opinions in this post are my own and not those of machinetoolhelp.com and its management) |
