Default Ladder editing Mitsubishi Controls

Hi All,
Anyone have any experience with editing ladders on mitsubishi controls? What is needed for hardware or software or to be able to edit online on the machine itself. Mitsubishi M64/M65 and M700 controls in particular.

Thanks for any input.

Petro

If you want to edit the ladder you will need a pc with the "GX developer" software installed plus cable, or you can do it directly thru the operator's panel. In meau.com there is a complete set of nice manuals waiting for you.

Thanks, I was asked the question recently and I had tried a couple years ago and could not get GX developer to recognize the file or load a backup ladder file. I also contacted a rep that reps Mitsubishi PLC's to ask the question about the software and they told me there was another version that was different from the standard PLC programming version. I see from the documentation that it looks to be the same package so maybe the person I contacted did not get the proper information. However I know he had to call someone because he did not know anything about machine tools. Will have to try again sometime in the future. Just looking for info for when that time comes.

Thanks

M64 controls use GX developer version 8. I like using that better than the cnc panel. The older PLC use a dos based software that I truley don't recommend. Oh and never use the red cable for the CNC ladder. The red cable is used for A series PLC only.
