How do you mean its "off in X"?
1. Are the surfaces that OD cutting tools seat upon parallel with the X axis movement?
2. Is the centre line of the turret parallel with the Z axis. In this case the face of the turret should be parallel with the X axis. If boring bars mount on the side of the turret, the mounting surfaces should be parallel to the Z axis.
